Dyneema

Dyneema is an ultra-high tensile strength synthetic fiber that is almost 50% stronger than aramid fibers. It consists of long chain molecules of the chemical form Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWP). It is similar in composition and utility to Silnylon.

Dyneema is popular for use in lightweight backpacking backpacks, tents, tarps stuff sacks and cordage. It is often coated with a PU (polyurethane) waterproof coating.
