Fourteener

A fourteener is any mountain peak that exceeds 14,000 feet in elevation. There are 89 peaks in the United States that qualify for this honor. The largest concentration of these epic mountains is in Colorado, which has the majority of those in the lower 48 states with a total of 52 mountains that exceed 14,000 in height, making the state a destination for hikers intent on peak bagging. California has the second most with twelve fourteeners.
