Hammock Under Quilt

Under quilts attach to the bottom of a hammock to provide a bottom layer of insulation. Since the down or insulation in a sleeping bag is compressed when a user is laying on it, it provides little to no insulation, requiring the use of an under quilt or sleeping pad placed in the hammock during colder temperatures. Failure to use adequate insulation such as an under quilt can result in cold, uncomfortable and sleepless nights on the trail.
