Single Wall Tent

A single wall tent has only one layer of fabric that makes up the body of the tent. Since there is no second layer or rain fly, single wall tents will have no windows or windows that can be zipped open and closed. Many backpackers opt for a double wall tent, as the inner wall will usually have windows, which will help ventilation as some air can usually flow under the rain fly or second wall and because two walls can be more effective at retaining heat and providing protection from extreme elements.
